About

Storytelling. At the start — fiction writing and theatre scripts, in my teens, obsessed with the visual elegance and rich narrative found in French and Japanese animation.

I moved to Los Angeles from my native Iran to follow a dream. Since arriving in Southern California I've been fortunate to work with and learn from artists who have shaped how I see — Tron Mai, Jay Oliva, Marshall Vandruff, Steven Silver and Matt Jones. In 2020 I was one of a select group of transfer students accepted into UCLA's School of Film and Television Animation program, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BFA, mentored by Chuck Sheetz (The Simpsons) and Bill Barminski.

My work sits where classic 2D story artistry meets hybrid 2D/3D pipelines — hand-drawn boards, Blender-built sets. Currently in the StoryboardArt.org Story Artist Mentorship with instructors from Disney, Lucasfilm, Warner Bros., DreamWorks and Pixar; previously a Women in Animation visual development mentee with Vicki Pui.
