ComfyUI
Boards into motion. For the rats sequence in Bar Gang, I built a ComfyUI graph that takes my own drawings (storyboard pages, the character line-up, set stills) as references, adds my camera direction as the prompt, and generates each shot with ByteDance Seedance. The drawing decides the shot; the graph animates it.

- 01Storyboard ref · Load Image
A six-panel page of my boards (frames 101–110): the mouse on the balloon rising past the BAR sign. It fixes framing, angle and scale for every shot.
- 02Character ref · Load Image
My hand-drawn mugshot line-up of the gang, so every rat stays on model from shot to shot.
- 03Set refs · Load Image
Stills of the set pieces (the bins, the snack machine) the action has to happen in.
- 04Stitch Images · Image
Board and character sheet joined side by side into one reference.
- 05Google Gemini · Prompt
Turns my camera direction and the script beat into a shot-by-shot motion prompt: which way the balloon pulls, how the mouse resists, where the shot ends.
- 06Load Video · Continuity
The previous generated clip, so the next shot picks up where it left off.
- 07Seedance reference-to-video · Generate
ByteDance Seedance 2.0 Mini: 16:9, 4-second shots at 480p on a fixed seed, then upscaled and saved.
“A silent 2D animated sequence presenting six distinct full-screen scenes cut in exact storyboard reading order… Do not include the page layout, panel borders, or numbers. Maintain the exact framing, camera angle, perspective, and character scale for each shot.”
