Bar Gang
Rough-to-clean boards for an original comedy — staging, screen direction and the timing beats laid out in Storyboard Pro over Blender-blocked sets.
The rats, from page to motion
An unfinished previs cut of the rats sequence. One of the gang lifts a coin from a sleeping homeless man, and the rats tie a balloon to a buddy to float him up to the snack machine for cheese crackers. The only problem: the balloon doesn't stop, and neither does he. It starts with my original script, my hand-drawn character sheets and my boards. Each shot is then generated in ComfyUI: the boards and the character line-up go in as references, my camera direction goes in as the prompt, and ByteDance Seedance turns them into motion. The mugshots
The gang in a line-up — a short hand-drawn test of the cast.
The rats, in TVPaint
The gang's walk through the bar, roughed and cleaned frame by frame in TVPaint over the Blender set — 112 frames, every 18th shown here.
